Despite the somewhat grey and damp weather, we went to Kadriorg Park this week for an art therapy session led by Elise. Everyone created their own small artwork, and we also produced a collaborative piece to which everyone contributed something.
All the artworks will be displayed at the Roheklubi office!

Too often, we speak of humans, animals, and nature in general as if they were fundamental opposites, when in reality, we too are animals; we rely on the same resources that nature provides. We make decisions with regard only to our own – often very short-term – well-being.
But what if we were to look at things differently? From someone else’s perspective.

This week, as part of the Tune into Nature series, we went for a two-hour walk in Harku Forest. We mostly followed small side paths that led us through various forest types and past a deer feeding station; we also stopped for a quick picnic of our own halfway through the hike. Our guide for the day, Karita, shared stories about the forest and handed out word puzzles for the participants to solve amidst the peaceful forest atmosphere.

On a beautiful, warm autumn Saturday, we headed to the Pääsküla Bog with the ÜDI Literary Club. We hiked a trail of approximately four kilometers that passed by an observation tower and largely followed boardwalks, including the so-called "floating boardwalk," which is built on boxes that float on the water. Along the way, we took a break to have a bite to eat and read nature-themed texts to one another.

As part of the second Tune into Nature event, we went to clean up Pirita Beach. Due to the rainy weather, there weren't many participants, but we still managed to collect two bags of trash in two hours and spent a beautiful afternoon in tune with nature. This time, Eliise led the way.

The first Tune into Nature event took place!
This time, we went to throw discs at the Järve Epicbet Disc Golf course guided by Minna. Although the turnout wasn't huge, we still spent a fun and active evening together amidst the Järve woods!

Change begins with small steps! None of us is perfect, and no one expects you to go from zero to a hundred overnight, the goal of the campaign isn't to push everyone to become vegan, but rather to open new doors and help reduce meat consumption.
Two free passes to the Vegan Fair taking place in October will be raffled off among the participants!
